“But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you.” -Acts 26:16
Do you know what your Plan A is?
Your Plan A is the biggest vision you have for your life. Whether that is your career or something you desire for your personal life.
Thinking about what your Plan A is may sound like a simple question but some people do not know what their true purpose is. If you are wondering what your Plan A looks like I would like you to think about your greatest passion. Next, imagine your greatest passion being stripped from your life. When I talk about this greatest desire in your life I am not talking about watching your favorite sports team on the comfort of your couch. I am a big sports fan but the passion I am talking about here involves work and participation.
When I would ask myself what my Plan A was I had to ask myself what my life would be like if I did not write. I took my greatest passion in life and imagined myself living without it. Writing is a large part of who I am and the gift that God has given me to express my thoughts and emotions that I must share. To ask me to give up writing would be the equivalent of asking me to stop breathing. I would be miserable if I was unable to write. It may sound extreme and it is but it has to be if you are searching for your true purpose.
I am sure you too have this same desire with the passions God has blessed you with. It may be working at a homeless shelter, being a stay at home Mom, or being a personal trainer.
I would like to give you another Plan A example. My brother’s Plan A is being a personal trainer/Bodybuilder. Nothing else in his life matters except for his goal as a personal trainer. He is willing to do everything and anything it takes to make it. This is the sort of desire and intention that is required when pursuing your Plan A.
Your Plan A is going to take a lot of hard work but when you are willing to take whatever it takes to get there then you know that is your purpose. Once you know what your Plan A is you have to make a pact with yourself that you won’t listen to the doubt around you.
God can help you with your Plan A if you still are not sure. Trust in Him to direct you every step of the way.
I would love to hear what your Plan A is. Please use the comment section to share with others!
