There is a certain quietness that I crave in the midst of the busyness of life. I find myself fighting it off as if I’m fighting my own flesh, on the verge of tearing it into two.
This flesh struggle for quietness takes place within my body.
It is your spirit that is in tune with God’s will–And your soul is like a reckless teenager ready for chaos but needing direction.
It is in this time you have to allow your spirit to lead and let the soul follow, leashed on for safety.
The stillness of the night is what I crave. I must recognize and obey it even when I hear my favorite song playing.
I must obey the stillness.
In this quiet stillness I find the Saviors rest. No one can satisfy this desire for stillness like he can.
Rest in Him in quietness in order to give him all of your life, all of your attention. Your everything!
